DEAE is a duo for flutes, drums, keyboards and electronics. Their starting point is the medieval music of Hildegard of Bingen, transformed into partly composed contemporary improvised material, shaped and filtered through their distinctive musical sensibilities.

In 2023, the ensemble made a warmly received concert debut with Estonian double bassist Mingo Rajandi at the 12th Katowice JazzArt Festival and Jazzkaar in Tallinn. In 2024, the duo performed at the Days of New Music in Gdańsk, the Lublin Jazz Festival’s Future Friendly series and Jazz Club Od Nowa in Toruń. They have also collaborated with Axel Dörner and Erhard Hirt at Avant Art Festival in Berlin and at the closing concert of the Ad Libitum festival in the Witold Lutosławski Studio.

The album lithium was released on 24 June 2024 by Kilogram Records.

She has worked with the Pomeranian Philharmonic and the Toruń Symphony Orchestra, and performed with Zygmunt Krauze, Agustí Fernández and Timothée Quost.

Ola Rzepka is a drummer, pianist, composer and performer.
